This ATC was made for a swap (back in November) with the theme “Ride ‘em Cowgirl”. There are so many great vintage cowgirl images (that are free) on the web — it was hard to choose which one to use! I settled on this one because I loved the bright colors! I stamped the background with a paisley image, although it is a little hard to see. I like to stamp something on my trading cards if I can fit it in the theme.

This ATC is one I made for the monthly drawing at Vintage Photo Image ATCs. The winner was Sandy, and her chosen theme was “turquoise”. It was fun to browse through all my images to see what I had in this color family. The main photo of the little girl and the birds are free images from the internet (source unknown). The other images are from Deviant Scrap. The word “precious” is a stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms, purchased a few years ago. Enjoy your month of ATCs, Sandy!!

I didn’t make many ATCs for this Christmas season, but here is one I just finished today for a swap with the Vintage Photo Image ATC Yahoo group. The image is one I found on the web, and the papers are from last year’s K&Co. Christmas release. I stamped the musical notes background (Glitz) and the sentiment (Cornish Heritage Farms). Merry Christmas to all.

Some day soon I will get back to making trading cards, but in the meantime the challenges over at Splitcoaststampers are helping me get some of my Christmas cards made! The clean and simple challenge this week was to use twine. Well, I have lots of that!! I love using it on cards because it’s less bulky than ribbon. This card was made with an older Cuttlebug embossing folder for the background, tricked out in Stickles. The die and sentiment is from Papertrey Ink; the clear set of stamps is called In the Meadow and there is a set of matching dies for the solid images. The possibilities with this set are endless!!

The color challenge at Splitcoaststampers this week is kraft, white, and pear. Love this combination! I decided to pull out some of the new stuff I recently ordered from Papertrey Ink to make this card. The tree is a die cut that matches one of their new winter stamp sets. The snowbanks were also cut with one of their new dies. The sentiment is from a set from last year, Take Three: Winter; I love the font used on this set! I’ve been meaning to try adding glitter to a card using Scor Tape, so that’s what I did to the tops of the snowbanks. Really easy and simple card!!

I was selected as a semi-finalist for the winter Clean and Simple (CAS) design team at Splitcoaststampers, and this is the card I made for round two of the challenge. The requirement was to make a CAS card with one or more gifts on it. I pulled out a retired Stampin’ Up set (Cool Cat) to make this card. I can think of several cat-loving friends who are candidates to get this card in the mail next month!

Every now and then, between trading card swaps, I find some time to make a greeting card. Against my better judgement, I signed up for the Unity Kit of the Month stamps. Anyone who knows me well, knows I don’t need any more stamps. But these are such fun and fresh designs, I really couldn’t resist. All the stamping on this card was done with Unity stamps. When I do make a greeting card, I tend to stick with clean and simple designs. It’s a nice change for me from my collage-heavy ATCs!

Red Lead Paperworks sells several shapes of chipboard houses that are so much fun to alter! This one was made for a “casa” swap with one of the Yahoo groups to which I belong. The pencils in the roof were stamped with an image that is also sold by Red Lead. Love that store! The book images are from Deviant Scrap,and the mathematical equation stamped in the background (hard to see) is from Club Scrap. Punching a hole in the chipboard was a beast. I made this twinchie for a Pick-a-Theme swap. The “tornado” theme picked by the recipient of my twinchie really had me stumped. I finally decided to use some images from Deviant Scrap, along with a photo of a tornado I found on the internet. If I saw a twister like this, I would surely have big eyes, too!

I thought it might be fun to dress E.A. Poe up for Halloween, so I took some glasses (from Deviant Scrap) and put them on an image I found on the internet. The background stamp is from Red Lead; it’s one of my favorite stamps that they sell.
